Mobility Services
ASH Accessibility Concierge
Leading up to the meeting and while on site in Orlando, ASH staff will check in periodically with meeting attendees on their meeting experience. In addition, if attendees need assistance during the meeting, they can contact [email protected].
Accessible ASH Shuttle Vehicles
ASH has partnered with Kushner & Associates for wheelchair-accessible shuttles from hotels to the convention center on the shuttle route. There will be no additional fee passed along to the participant for this service. Please make advance arrangements by phone by contacting Erika Hinzman at 310-274-8819, ext. 1005, or by email at [email protected]. If advance arrangements have not been made, participants can call or text the ASH Shuttle Hotline at 818-573-8346 from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4 and through 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9.
Accessible Seating in Session Rooms
Chairs will be marked with floor mats or chair covers to designate specific seating for those who require this option.
Information on mobility services will be available at all ASH-related information Desks.
Accessible Transportation from the Airport to Your Hotel
The Orlando offers accessible services, including wheelchair assistance, accessible restrooms, and designated parking areas. Information booths are available throughout the airport or they can be contacted at +1 407-825-2352.
ADA Registration Counters
For attendees who decide to print their badge when they arrive in Orlando, there will be accessible registration counters in all locations — at the airport, convention center, and the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
Hotel Rooms Near the Convention Center
ASH will hold a small number of hotel rooms close to the convention center to ensure that attendees with mobility concerns have the simplest path to/from the convention center and adjacent hotels for sessions and special events. Please request this option online to indicate this need when completing registration and housing arrangements.
Scooter Rental
Sessions and networking events will occur at the convention center and adjacent hotels. For those with mobility concerns, ASH recommends contacting Scootaround Mobility Services for scooter rental. These scooters may be used in between buildings and to travel to and from a nearby hotel. The scooters may be charged in the hallway or guest room overnight. Scooters may be driven into session rooms and parked in open spaces near the front or back of the session room. Please reserve at least two weeks in advance, if possible, by calling 888-441-7575. Scooter rentals can be made on site in Orlando; advance reservations are strongly encouraged. ASH staff are available upon request to provide a hands-on orientation to elevator locations and using the scooters in crowded hallways.
The Orange County Convention Center has wheelchair ramps, automatic doors, passenger elevators, and accessible restrooms throughout the center. Pick-up and drop-off locations for scooters and wheelchairs are located at the FedEx Office Business Center outside Hall C of the West Concourse building.
