Any non-member in training who registers after this deadline will be registered as a non-member and charged the non-member rate.

If you registered in the non-member in training category last year and are still enrolled in the same training program, you do not need to send a letter verifying your enrollment status.

Allied Health Professional
The allied health professional category is for individuals without a doctoral degree who provide direct patient care.
Individuals with an MD, PhD, or PharmD degree do not qualify for this category because they are eligible for ASH membership. These individuals should register in the member or non-member category based upon their current membership status. All ASH members receive discounted rates at the annual meeting.
The following individuals are eligible to register as allied health professionals: nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, and pharmacists without a PharmD. Others may also be eligible if they provide direct patient care as noted below. In registering as an allied health professional, you agree to provide evidence prior to the meeting that you:
- Devote 50% or more of your professional activity and time to the direct care and treatment of patients, and
- Function as an integral member of a team caring for patients.
To verify status as an allied health professional, the registrant must provide a letter, on institutional letterhead, from their immediate supervisor confirming:
- The name of the organization,
- The registrant's position,
- The percentage of activity and time devoted to the direct care and treatment of patients, and
- A copy of a state license with expiration date through the end of the conference.
Verification confirming the registrant professional status is required and should be uploaded (in PDF format) prior to arrival on site. To be officially registered for the meeting, ASH must confirm the registrant’s status. Individuals who do not provide verification will be charged the non-member registration rate.
Non-Profit Patient Advocacy Organization Registration Program
ASH recognizes the critical role non-profit patient advocacy organizations play in helping people with hematologic disorders and their caregivers, as well as providing access to accurate, reliable, and timely information about their disease treatment options. ASH seeks to offer non-profit patient advocacy organizations the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to provide the most effective support for patients and their caregivers.
The Non-Profit Patient Advocacy Organization Registration program is designed to expand access to the content delivered at the ASH annual meeting. It is reserved exclusively for non-profit patient advocacy organizations; individuals interested in registering under this category must work or volunteer for national or international not-for-profit patient advocacy organizations that:
- Demonstrate a charitable mission related to hematology
- Engage in patient advocacy activities and/or provide programs, services, information, and/or support for people affected by a hematologic disorder. In general, the organization’s website should contain information on one or more of the following:
- Patient education
- Information regarding clinical trials and research
- Information on legislative activity, funding, and advocacy
- Information on meetings and other disease-centered activities
- Information regarding new drugs and treatment programs, and
- Links to other sites with pertinent information, and other information that ASH feels will be useful for patients
- Do not offer continuing medical education (CME) or scientific programs for medical or research professionals
This program is not intended for medical or scientific research professionals, academic institutions, other professional societies, research or charitable foundations, industry corporations, or governmental entities.
The application will require the completion of an online form that outlines the qualifying credentials to be considered, along with a CV or bio sketch, and a signed letter from the organization on its letterhead that outlines 1) the organization is a non-profit patient advocacy organization, 2) the applicant’s role with the organization, and 3) that the applicant is the sole representative that will be applying.
At the beginning of each month, ASH staff will review the applications received to date, select meritorious recipients, and inform the approved applicant how to proceed with registering.
Only one recipient per each non-profit patient advocacy organization will be approved.
Spouse/Guest
Spouses and guests are welcome to register for the ASH annual meeting. They will receive a badge that allows access to the exhibit hall, including daily coffee breaks and boxed lunches on Sunday and Monday, the Saturday evening welcome reception, and Sunday and Monday poster hall receptions.
Spouse/guest registration does not include entrance to the Education and Scientific Program sessions or poster viewing sessions, nor does it include meeting materials.
Federal Employees
ASH understands that federal agencies within the U.S. government are adjusting and developing new guidelines for conference attendance for their employees and that each agency will have its own policy. To assist federal employees by providing information that will help with their attendance requests, applications for funding approval, and housing needs, ASH has established a Government Concierge. For more information on how to register and reserve hotel accommodations, please visit the Government Concierge page.
Registration Receipts
If you have registered for the ASH annual meeting and need to print a copy of your receipt, please visit the Spargo receipt page.
