The Satellite Symposia are industry-sponsored, CME-certified programs offered in conjunction with ASH specialty meetings. These events are offered in conjunction with the 2024 Highlights of ASH in Asia Pacific and are not part of the official ASH meeting programming and are planned solely by the sponsoring company. There is no fee to attend and registration to HOA is not required to participate.

In an evolving haemophilia landscape, therapeutic advancements are being made across all haemophilia subtypes, addressing unmet needs, especially in haemophilia with inhibitors. This expert-led symposium will discuss:
- The potential value of different classes of non-factor replacement therapy
- Anti-TFPi as an emerging class of treatment
- The effect of Anti-TFPi treatment on prophylaxis on target joint resolution
Speaker Information
Dr. Liane Khoo is the Haemophilia Treatment Centre Director at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Dr. Khoo is actively involved in numerous clinical trials for haemophilia, including gene therapy, non-factor replacements, extended half-life factor replacements. She has a keen interest in laboratory aspects related to haemophilia care.
Professor Tran is Head of Thrombosis and Haemostasis Services, and Director of the Haemophilia Treatment Centre at Alfred Health. He is a clinical Professor at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD), Central Clinical School, Monash University. He is Chair of the Clinical Trials group of The Thrombosis and Haemostasis Society of Australia and New Zealand (THANZ) and former Chair of the Australian Haemophilia Centre Directors’ Organisation (AHCDO). He is a clinical research haematologist who has a strong national & international reputation in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis. He's well published with over 120 peer-reviewed publications and more than 3500 citations.

Join our expert, Dr. Angie Yong, as she discusses the most pressing topics in light chain (AL) amyloidosis. Dr. Yong will review unmet needs in patients with advanced AL amyloidosis and summarize prevalent diagnostic obstacles. Ongoing clinical trials of investigational amyloid-depleting therapies aiming to improve early mortality in patients with advanced AL amyloidosis will also be discussed. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
