The annual meeting virtual platform is open for press from December 8, 2021 through February 1, 2022.

You will have access to all the annual meeting content and press-only materials, including press briefings, oral abstract sessions, poster presentations, live Q&A, special interest sessions, education programs, scientific program sessions, networking and interview opportunities, and more.

Not to worry! Recordings of the press briefings and sessions will be available on the platform for media through February 1, 2022.

Registered media will see a red button on the homepage that says Press Room when they log in to the annual meeting platform. Note that this feature is only visible to those with media credentials. Once in the Press Room you can participate in live press briefings (and watch press briefing recordings), access the press kit, and more!

The full press briefing schedule is available here. Media can access press briefings (both live and on demand) via the “Press Briefings” button in the virtual Press Room.

The press kit is here. Only registered media may access the press kit. Your username is the email address used to register for the meeting, and your password is your personal ASH password associated with the account you used to register for the meeting. PLEASE NOTE: If you cannot remember your password, it can be manually reset on the ASH website by going to https://sso.hematology.org/ and clicking on the "Forgot password?" link.

Contact [email protected] if you have questions about the online press kit.

On-Site Annual Meeting Details

If you are participating on site in Atlanta, Georgia, please visit the ASH Health and Safety Protocols webpage to review the policies before traveling.

No. Due to this year’s vaccination requirement to attend the meeting, ASH will not offer on-site registration or credential verification (no walk-ups). Media must register online and have received their email confirmation prior to arriving at the Georgia World Congress Center.

All reporters registered to attend in person in Atlanta are strongly encouraged to arrive on Friday, December 10 prior to the registration desk closing at 6:00 p.m. to ensure they can pick up their registration badge from the registration desk in advance of the Saturday press briefings.

This year, media must pick up their press badges from the general registration area, and pass through the vaccination verification checkpoints, prior to visiting the press room. It is recommended that you allot ample time to complete the process.

Media Interviews

ASH press staff can facilitate interviews with press program presenters as well as ASH media experts. To request an interview, please email [email protected]. Reporters can contact other meeting attendees directly to request interviews via the “Connect with Participants” button in the virtual press room.

From the virtual meeting main page, visit the “Connect with Participants” page to find meeting attendees you’d like to contact for potential interview. You can engage in direct instant message chat with them, or set up virtual video chats on a one-on-one basis, or organize a group discussion for up to 50 people.
