Access Programs for Imiglucerase

Drug Company Assistance

The Genzyme Charitable Foundation, Inc. has established the Charitable Access Program (CAP) to help provide imiglucerase to uninsured and underinsured patients.

To qualify for the CAP, applicants must submit a doctor’s letter detailing the intent to treat with imiglucerase, a doctor’s statement of medical necessity, and a completed program application. To request an application, email Genzyme.

Genzyme offers case managers to help with the application process and to assist patients with other funding opportunities if they are deemed ineligible for the CAP. Please call 1-800-745-4447 and select option 3 to speak with a case manager.

Copay assistance is also available under the Genzyme CoPay Assistance Program. Co-pay assistance is available for individuals with commercial insurance who are not receiving any prescription coverage from either a state or federally funded healthcare program, such as Medicare, Medicaid, of Veterans Affairs.

If you have commercial insurance and have been prescribed treatment with imiglucerase, please fill out the Copay Assistance online application. If approved, you will receive a confirmation letter and enrollment card within ten days, and your doctor or pharmacist will receive a call detailing how to submit claims through the program.

The National Gaucher Care Foundation, Inc. provides a range of resources for people diagnosed with Gaucher Disease. Please use their online application, call 1-866-346-8176, or email for more information regarding eligibility and enrollment.
