Thank Your Members of Congress for Their Commitment to NIH Funding in FY 2023

Over the past several months, ASH met with congressional offices and called on members of the ASH Grassroots Network to take action in support of increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Because of your efforts and the work of medical research advocates across the country, Congress passed final fiscal year (FY) 2023 appropriations legislation in December that included a $2.5 billion dollar increase for the NIH, bring total funding for the agency to $47.5 billion. President Biden signed the funding bill into law on December 29.
