Thank Your Members of Congress for Their Commitment to NIH Funding in FY 2020
Over the past several months, ASH has met with congressional offices and called on members of the ASH Grassroots Network to take action in support of increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Because of your efforts and the work of medical research advocates across the country, Congress passed final fiscal year (FY) 2020 appropriations legislation in late December that included a $2.6 billion dollar increase to the NIH for a total funding level of $41.7 billion. President Trump signed the funding bill into law on December 20.
ASH would like to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who took the time write, call, or meet with their elected officials. Your actions continue to make a difference.
