Tell Congress to Support the Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act

The COVID-19 crisis has placed considerable strain on America’s healthcare workforce, resulting in a serious shortage of physicians. Throughout the crisis, certain areas of the country have had to recall retired physicians, expand physician practice areas, and modify out-of-state licensing laws. ASH joins many others in the physician community in supporting the Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act (H.R. 6788/S. 3599) which seeks to address this growing problem. The bipartisan legislation would allow the government to recapture 15,000 unused employment-based physician immigrant visas, bolster the U.S. healthcare workforce, and bring relief to current frontline providers, helping to ensure that patients have the care they deserve.

Please take a moment to send a message to your Senators and Representative by filling out the form below and clicking “send email” to urge them to cosponsor the Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act. This will not take much time, but it can have a big impact.
