Take Action in Support of Access to Care by Opposing Funding Cuts to Medicaid

Medicaid provides health care coverage to one in five Americans – more than 79 million people. Approximately 42% of Medicaid beneficiaries are adults, 36% are children, 10% are disabled, and 10% are age 65 and older. Medicaid is crucial for providing care to the most vulnerable individuals who are impacted by hematologic conditions. On July 3, 2025, Congress passed the Budget Reconciliation bill (H.R. 1), also known as the “Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which was signed into law by President Trump on July 4. The law outlines substantial cuts to Medicaid spending that will result in decreased enrollment and millions of Americans losing health care coverage.

As H.R.1 is implemented and Congress considers additional changes to the Medicaid program, it’s crucial that lawmakers hear directly from constituents about how Medicaid cuts will affect access to care for people with hematologic conditions. Please take a moment to enter your information below and send a message to your elected officials about the importance of protecting Medicaid coverage.
