Contact Congress in Support of Improving Medicaid Outpatient Services for Patients with SCD

ASH is working with Members of Congress to authorize a Medicaid demonstration program to improve preventive and primary outpatient care for individuals living with sickle cell disease (SCD). Today, too many patients living with SCD are not under the care of specialists or primary care physicians that understand the disease and have the tools to effectively treat those affected. ASH wants to make sure that SCD patients, including those patients dealing with COVID-19, have access to critically needed care.
