Having the right mentor can make a world of difference for a hematologist’s career trajectory. Mentorship positions give you the opportunity to make a positive impact on next generation of hematologists.
The ASH Minority Medical Student Award Program provides underrepresented minority medical students with an opportunity to conduct a research project under the supervision of an ASH member, receive guidance from a career-development mentor, gain valuable knowledge of hematology, and ultimately, advance their careers. To sign up to be a mentor for the Minority Recruitment Initiative, please fill out this Mentor Volunteer Form.
The Women in Hematology Working Group is a dedicated group of ASH members focused on the needs of women in hematology (WIH). The group is focused on strengthening opportunities for recognition of the contributions of women to the field, providing networking and mentorship opportunities to women at all levels of their careers, and identifying additional opportunities to enhance ASH’s support towards women in hematology.
