Testimony and Correspondence

Through its committees on Practice, Government Affairs, and Scientific Affairs, ASH formulates positions on pending federal legislation, regulations, and private insurance developments, which are communicated through congressional testimony and formal correspondence. In addition, ASH may submit comments to other organizations and governing bodies on issues related to research, practice, training, or quality of care issues affecting hematologists and their patients.


Coalition Letter Supporting Robust Discretionary Funding in FY 2024

ASH joined more than 750 organizations in a letter urging congressional leaders to provide robust investments in nondefense discretionary (NDD) programs in fiscal year (FY) 2024. Examples of NDD programs include the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other federally funded health and science programs.
