ASH Foundation

The ASH Foundation was founded in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational organization. It is a fundraising division of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and governed by ASH’s Executive Committee. The foundation exists to align donors’ charitable giving interests with ASH’s mission and priorities.

ASH's Mission: Conquering Blood Diseases Worldwide

We dream of a day when there is a cure for every blood disease.

Every gift to the ASH Foundation is a vital philanthropic investment in sustaining the future of hematology as a vibrant, flourishing career path in both academia and clinical practice. All of the funds supported by the foundation move hematology forward in different ways: research, career development, and quality care and education programs. Your contributions to the ASH Foundation will ultimately help patients battling blood diseases.

Because of strong institutional support from ASH, 100% of all charitable donations to the ASH Foundation directly benefit programs sponsored by ASH and are tax-deductible as allowed by law by using ASH's tax ID number, 23-7080568.

"Every stage of a career in hematology whether as a clinician, researcher, trainee, advocate, or educator is indelibly linked to ASH. Because of this, I don’t know any greater champion for the discovery and rapid dissemination of advancements in the field. A gift to the ASH Foundation is an investment in ensuring continued growth in every facet of hematology and, most importantly, their translation to patients with blood disorders around the world."

James LaBelle, MD, PhD / Chair, ASH Foundation Committee, 2024 – 2025
