ASH Submits Comments on CMS CY27 Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule

In its September 14, 2026, comments on the proposed 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, the American Society of Hematology (ASH) urges CMS to reconsider physician payment cuts, retain G2211 and its associated work RVUs, and reject proposed reductions for practice expenses and same-day services billed with modifier -25. ASH also recommends simplifying care management billing, restoring consultation payments, preserving physician input in coding and valuation, and carefully developing reimbursement for clinical trial discussions and AI-enabled care to support comprehensive hematology care without increasing patient barriers.
