ASH SFC RFI on Health Reform

In its September 30, 2026, letter to Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, the American Society of Hematology (ASH) recommends reinstating expanded premium tax credits, protecting medically vulnerable Medicaid beneficiaries from burdensome eligibility requirements, and reducing deductibles and other cost-sharing to improve access to comprehensive coverage. ASH also urges standardized, streamlined prior authorization and step therapy exceptions and appeals processes to reduce administrative burdens and prevent delays in treatment for patients with blood disorders.
