Log In and Access the Platform During the Preview Days: Don’t Delay!

We encourage you to bookmark the virtual platform link for quick access each day, but you can also access the link from the ASH website. You will need to log in using your unique ASH username and password that you used to register for the meeting. If you have forgotten your password, the quickest way to log in is to use the password reset link.

As a reminder, for the best user experience and streaming quality, we recommend using Google Chrome. DO NOT use Internet Explorer. You may contact us if you have difficulty accessing the platform or any other questions. You can also review the meeting’s FAQs for fast answers to common questions.

Program and Schedule

Members will automatically receive email updates on this important information, but we encourage others who may be interested in participating in the all-virtual ASH annual meeting to sign up for email updates about the meeting through the Email Subscription Center in your online profile. Sign up, add [email protected] to your address book to ensure delivery, and keep an eye out for email updates. You may also check the ASH website for the most up-to-date information.

ASH will be sharing additional information including a detailed meeting schedule in the coming weeks, but please continue to hold December 5-8, 2020 on your calendar, as those will remain the core dates of the meeting. The Friday Satellite Symposia hosted by industry will continue to be offered on Friday, December 4, the day before the official start of the ASH annual meeting. Please reference the preliminary program for the 62nd ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition for the most up-to-date schedule.

Additionally, all registration packages will include Preview Days, beginning on December 2. This provides you with the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the virtual platform so you’re ready to go when the meeting begins. Please reference the Schedule-at-a-Glance for more information.

ASH Annual Meeting Features and Navigation

There are several different packages of webcasts available for purchase. The webcast package you select will determine which sessions are included. These recordings will be available for viewing beginning December 12 and will include the live Q&A portion of each session where this was included. On-demand webcasts of the 62nd ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition are available for purchase through registration at a discounted price until Dec. 11, 2020. After this time, the webcasts are available for purchase through the ASH Learning Management System.

Some sessions will be available live while others will be available for on-demand viewing. When you identify a session of interest, select "Add to Calendar" to add the session to your personal Outlook, iCal, or Google Calendar. For live sessions, the pre-determined air date will populate in the calendar appointment, but for on-demand sessions you have the option of adjusting the session date and time so that you can remind yourself to come back and view the session at your convenience. The annual meeting mobile application will also allow you to add sessions to your calendar in the mobile application; these favorited sessions will automatically appear under a “My Sessions” filter within the meeting platform sessions page.

Search for "ASH 2020" on either iOS and Android. The app will enable you to synchronize your bookmarked sessions with the annual meeting’s platform schedule, so you can build your personal schedule online faster. Bookmark sessions by tapping the calendar icon on the meeting app. Note that the full access to the mobile app data and meeting materials, including Hematology 2020, will be available only to registered virtual meeting attendees.

Poster presentations will be shared via a brief Power Point presentation with accompanying audio. New posters will become available for viewing each day of the meeting. Just like the in-person meeting, there are posters that will be displayed on Saturday, new poster presentations will be added on Sunday, and another set of poster presentations will be added on Monday. Once a poster presentation is made available, it will remain available on demand for the duration of the participant's virtual meeting subscription.

PosterCast: ASH partners with PosterCast to enhance learning in the Poster Sessions at the ASH Annual Meeting. PosterCast is a free iPhone app that will allow you to stream the recorded poster presentations in addition to the recording being presented on the ASH virtual meeting platform. This delivery method is ideal for times when you are away from your desktop or computer and can listen on your mobile device.

ASH Poster Walks: Poster walks with content curated by ASH will highlight six posters on a specified topic. Poster authors and key opinion leaders will engage in a panel discussion on the significance of the research presented followed by a live Q&A.

There will be industry-sponsored "poster walks" as well and these will be offered on Wednesday, December 9. These poster sessions have been selected by the sponsoring company and focus on a specific disease state. They offered at times on Tuesday that do not conflict with the ASH Poster Walks.

The full list of authors, including the non-presenting authors, for each of the posters is available in the annual meeting mobile app. If you wish to find a poster based on the author's name, please download the mobile app by searching "ASH 2020" on either iOS and Android, then access the list of posters. There you will be able to use the search function to search by author or keyword. All posters matching the search criteria will appear. All presenting authors are also searchable on the ASH annual meeting platform.

Networking

The virtual meeting platform provides several options for connecting with other registered virtual meeting participants through the "Networking" page of the meeting platform. There are options to engage in text-based chats, video chats, private video meetings (similar to Zoom) on a one-on-basis or up to 50 participants invited by the meeting's host. Participants can initiate public discussions in the Hallway Conversations or can add to a discussion started by another participant or ASH. Participants can also view sessions together using the innovative Watch with Friends and Colleagues feature that simulates sitting together in a session room where you can whisper comments to each other.

To access the networking platform, click on the "Networking" tab in the virtual meeting platform menu. There, you can select any of the virtual networking options.

To begin a session, click the “Networking” tab from the top menu of the meeting home page, and select “Watch with Friends and Colleagues” button to invite a small group of friends (ASH suggests four to six people for optimal experience). At the scheduled time, open the room and your invited guests will join you. The host can then share their screen and click on the presentation to watch together with the group!
