The 2005 American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting, originally to be held in New Orleans, has been rescheduled for December 10-13 in Atlanta, Georgia, as a result of the devastating damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. Please note that this is one week later than the original meeting dates. The Corporate Friday sessions will take place on Friday, December 9.
The change in dates will allow us to hold a meeting of the same high quality that our attendees have come to expect, without sacrificing the number of abstracts that can be presented, the size of the meeting rooms, the number of sessions, or the availability of hotel space near the convention center. ASH is grateful to the city of Atlanta for its flexibility in working to accommodate us on such short notice during this difficult time. As a result, we are pleased to announce that the schedule of sessions will remain largely unchanged, although there may be some substitution of speakers. Please refer to this Web site for the latest Education and Scientific Program updates.
IMPORTANT: If you have already registered for the annual meeting, made hotel reservations, and/or made flight reservations for New Orleans, please read our Frequently Asked Questions for essential information and specific instructions for modifying these arrangements.
If you have not yet registered for the annual meeting, you may register and make housing reservations online now.
We thank you for your patience and understanding. ASH will continue to use this Web site to make announcements regarding the modification of annual meeting plans. We encourage you to check back frequently for updates.
We are deeply concerned about those affected by this disaster. ASH members from around the world have asked us to express their sympathy for their colleagues in the Gulf Coast region. Click here for information about how to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
