Freeze on Physician Reimbursement Stalls

The House did not pass the reconciliation bill by unanimous consent and will take it up in 2006. Meanwhile, the scheduled 4.4 percent cut to Medicare reimbursement will begin on January 1, 2006. CMS will issue recommendations for submitting claims if Congress implements changes early in 2006. ASH continues to track this issue and will provide updates on the Web site.
