ASH Comments on CMS Analysis of Pharmacogenomic Testing for Warfarin Response

September 5, 2008 – ASH has submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding its national coverage analysis for pharmacogenomic testing for warfarin response. While the Society believes recent scientific developments in the area of pharmacogenomic testing are of significant interest, ASH feels that too much uncertainty remains regarding this emerging technology to use it to guide initial dosing or ongoing treatment of warfarin.
