Marketing and Sponsorship Opportunities

Maximize Your Meeting Presence
The ASH annual meeting is the premier educational event in the hematology community.  We welcome industry support for various events and services. Recognition for underwriters is provided through signs at the meeting and listings in the On-Site Program Book, ASH News Daily, and the Program and Abstracts Book.

High School Student Symposium
One of the most popular and rewarding features of the student symposium, which takes place one day prior to the annual meeting, has been the interactive exhibits generously contributed and staffed by corporate supporters. ASH would welcome any company’s presentation of interactive, hands-on demonstrations suitable for high school students. No monetary contribution is required, and participating exhibitors will receive priority points for their involvement. Participation involves transporting the exhibit to Atlanta and providing knowledgeable volunteers to staff the exhibit for the half-day session. Past exhibits have included hands-on computer learning sessions, the opportunity to view unusual cell morphology under a microscope, and a session on DNA spooling.

Corporations interested in participating in this year’s High School Student Symposium on Friday, December 7, should contact Joe Basso, Training Manager, at jbasso@hematology.org.

ASH News Daily
ASH’s popular on-site daily newspaper, ASH News Daily, will be available to attendees each day. Four separate issues of ASH News Daily, covering the four days of the 2007 ASH Annual Meeting, will be hand-delivered to the rooms of attendees staying at the co-headquarters hotels, made available on all ASH shuttle buses, and handed out on site at the Georgia World Congress Center. Each issue of ASH News Daily will highlight the day’s sessions and events as well as provide information about the city of Atlanta. In addition, the final three issues will contain detailed summaries of the previous day’s Education and Scientific Program sessions and abstract presentations written by distinguished ASH members.

To increase your company’s visibility at the 2007 ASH Annual Meeting, please contact Kevin Dunn, Senior Accounts Manager at Cunningham Associates, at 201-767-4170 or kdunn@cunnasso.com for information about advertising in ASH News Daily. For your reference, an advertising rate card is located in the back pocket of this prospectus.

ASH Corporate Friends Program
ASH encourages corporations to become 2007 ASH Corporate Friends. This program is aimed at those corporations that demonstrate a clear interest in hematology, as evidenced by their products and services.

ASH offers three levels of involvement, each with a corresponding grant amount: Gold Circle at $10,000, Silver Circle at $5,000, and Bronze Circle at $2,500. All funds contributed to ASH through this program will strengthen the Society’s training, education, and scientific programs.

The ASH Corporate Friends program provides valued benefits at each level to further develop the relationship between your company and ASH.

Please contact the ASH Development Department, at development@hematology.org to learn more about the ASH Corporate Friends program.

Scholar Awards
The ASH Scholar Awards are designed to encourage hematologists to embark on careers in both basic and clinical/translational research. These awards, for fellows and junior faculty, are made possible in part by grants from the corporate community. Priority points will be awarded to corporations for their participation, and the point scale is heavily weighted toward this program, which is a top priority of the Society. Please contact the ASH Development Department, at development@hematology.org to learn more about supporting this program.

Travel Awards
The travel award program recognizes select individuals who are both first author and presenter of an abstract in one of five categories: undergraduate, medical student, graduate student, resident physician, and post-doctoral fellow. Each award, in the amount of $500, is intended to assist individuals beginning their careers in medicine or medical science by helping to offset travel costs associated with attending the annual meeting. Priority points will be awarded to companies supporting this program. Please contact the ASH Development Department, at development@hematology.org to learn more about supporting this program.
