CME Credits
Accreditation
The American Society of Hematology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.
The American Society of Hematology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 38.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Physicians not licensed in the U.S. who participate in this CME activity are also eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Health-care professionals may be eligible to earn CME Points through EHA!
The 49th ASH Annual Meeting has been reviewed and approved for CME accreditation by the European Hematology Association CME Unit. The EHA-CME Unit has approved this educational activity for a maximum number of 34.5 CME Credit Points. Each health-care professional is morally obligated to only claim credits for time that she/he actually spent in the educational activity.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Employ the knowledge gained regarding the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant hematologic disorders to improve patient care.
- Discuss state-of-the-art research in hematology.
- Analyze the potential contribution of novel, not-yet-approved modalities of therapy to current evidence-based management of hematologic disorders.
How to Obtain CME
A processing fee of $25 will be charged for CME certificates. If you plan to claim CME credit for attending the meeting, you must indicate this by checking the appropriate box on the meeting registration form. Attendees may complete their CME evaluations on site using the Message Center by selecting “CME program” or via the ASH Web site. CME evaluations must be completed by March 31, 2008.
European Hematology Association CME
ASH is applying for CME accreditation with the European Hematology Association (EHA). For information about claiming EHA CME, please stop by the EHA booth in the exhibit hall, or e-mail cme@hematology.org
Certificates of Attendance
Physicians who do not require AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, as well as other health-care professionals attending the meeting, may request a certificate of attendance on site at the CME desk. There is no charge to meeting registrants for this service.
