MEETING LOCATION
The 2005 ASH Annual Meeting has been rescheduled for December 10-13 in Atlanta, Georgia, as a result of the devastating damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. Please note that this is one week later than the original meeting dates. ASH’s registration, annual meeting sessions, and exhibits will be held in the Georgia World Congress Center, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between participating hotels and the convention center. Shuttle buses will run approximately every 10-20 minutes starting at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 8, and continuing each morning beginning at 6:00 a.m. (except Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 5:45 a.m.) through Tuesday, December 13, at 2:30 p.m. Each evening, shuttle buses will run until 9:30 p.m. Look for shuttle bus schedules in your hotel lobby.

AIR TRAVEL

The agency will secure special discounts with the appropriate airlines servicing Atlanta, but will also search for the lowest fare available on any airline. GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels in Atlanta’s Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, and the Perimeter NW areas. The approximate cost of a one-way trip is $16 to Downtown, $18 to Midtown, and $20 to Buckhead. A round-trip ticket costs $28 to Downtown, $32 to Midtown, and $36 to Buckhead. Prices for shuttles to the Perimeter NW are dependent on the destination.

Public transit is available via the Atlanta MARTA Rail System, which transports passengers to Downtown Atlanta in less than 20 minutes. The entrance for MARTA’s Airport Station is located inside the western end of the airport’s main terminal, near the baggage claims areas. This service costs $1.75 per person for a one-way trip.

Various taxi companies service the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. A cab ride from the airport costs approximately $25 to Downtown Atlanta, $28 to Midtown, and $35 to Buckhead for one person. The rates for two people are $13 per person to Downtown, $15 per person to Midtown, and $18 per person to Buckhead, and rates for three people are $10 per person to Downtown, $11.66 per person to Midtown, and $13 per person to Buckhead. PARKING INFORMATION
The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) has more than 4,500 parking spaces on campus. The GWCC operates five surface lots and two parking decks, all located within the convention, sports and entertainment campus. Parking rates are $10 or less for all-day parking. Hourly parking is available with rates at $3.00 per hour, capped at $15.00, in the Green Lot located on Marietta Street. All lots are gated and attendants are on duty during all show/event hours.

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS!
ASH encourages you to start your visa application process as soon as possible. Because of new US State Department regulations, US embassies and consulates may require a face-to-face visa interview for most nonimmigrant visa applications.
