Meeting Rules and Regulations
Duplication and Recording are Prohibited
Photography, audio taping, video recording, digital taping, or any other form of duplication is strictly prohibited in the poster sessions and in the session rooms, unless one has the presenter’s express written permission. Certified members of the press qualify for an exemption to this rule if registered as such for the meeting. Absolutely no recording of any kind by anyone is ever permissible in the exhibit hall. This rule will be strictly enforced. Violators will lose their badges, if found infracting this rule.
Children Under 12
For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 (including infants in carriers and strollers, or hand-carried infants and toddlers) are not permitted in the exhibit hall and poster sessions. Click here for information about child care offered at the ASH meeting.
No Smoking
Smoking will not be permitted in any of the hallways, lobbies, meeting rooms, exhibits, or poster sessions at the convention center. Please refrain from smoking unless you are outside of the building.
Safety
The Professional Convention Management Association has developed the following list of safety recommendations for convention attendees:
- Do not display large amounts of cash when tipping or paying taxis.
- Use all locking devices on your door when you are in your hotel room.
- If you have a safe in your room, put all your valuable items in the safe.
- If the streets around the hotel are deserted, take a taxi or shuttle bus.
- Walk with another person whenever possible, particularly at night.
- Remain alert at all times, especially in crowded areas.
- Do not wear your badge or openly carry convention material with you outside the hotel or convention center.
