The oral history transcripts are copyrighted by Columbia University and proper permission must be received in order to cite or quote any part of the interview in a published work or commercial production. In order to do so, please contact the Columbia University Oral History Research Office at least four weeks in advance of publication or distribution to receive the appropriate approval. Any use beyond standards of "fair use" may require a fee.
