  • Travel and Merit Awards
    Provides $500 awards to select abstract presenters to help defray annual meeting travel expenses

  • Career Development Awards

    • ASH-AMFDP
      Designed to increase the number of underrepresented minority scholars in the field of hematology with academic and research appointments

    • Clinical Research Training Institute (CRTI)
      Prepares hematologists for careers in patient-oriented clinical research through a year-long education and mentoring program
    • EHA-ASH Research Exchange Award
      Funds a work-abroad program for hematologists in training or early in their careers from North America and Europe
    • Minority Medical Student Award Program (MMSAP)
      Encourages the exploration of hematology research as a career for minority students from the United States and Canada in their early medical school years
    • Trainee Research Award
      Provides support for medical students, residents, and undergraduates in the form of $4,000 for a three-month research project and $1,000 for travel to the Society’s annual meeting
    • Visitor Training Program
      Established to provide learning opportunities and training at host institutions for hematologists from emerging nations
