NIH State-of-the-Science Symposium on MDS

The NIH State-of-the-Science Symposium on Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) will be held at Lister Hill Auditorium on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD, on September 7 and 8, 2011. Bringing together clinicians and basic scientists, this meeting will review the current knowledge of the biological basis of MDS, approaches to risk stratification and prediction of disease progression, and molecular targets for therapeutic interventions. The goal is to identify knowledge gaps and the most promising areas for future research to address the unmet needs of people with MDS. Planning committee members include staff from NHLBI, NCI, NIDDK, and NIA. Online registration will be available on the NHLBI website. For more information or questions, contact Della E. Claiborne at claiborned@od.nih.gov or 301-594-4607.
