Remembering James McArthur, MD, Long-Time Editor of the ASH Education Program Book

ASH member James R. McArthur, MD, died Sunday, July 12, 2009. From 1973 until several years past his retirement, he served as director of the University of Washington’s morphology slide bank, which eventually became the ASH Image Bank, and for 25 years he was the editor of the ASH Education Program Book. In 1998, Dr. McArthur received the Exemplary Service Award, which recognizes long-standing service to ASH.
