While in Orlando, you will have various options for getting around the city whether you’re coming or going from the convention center or visiting the area’s top tourist attractions. Orlando, covering about 100 square miles, boasts inexpensive public transportation, reliable cab service, and plentiful parking. Enjoy the sights and sounds of America’s third most visited city in whatever way is most convenient for you!
Shuttle Bus:
ASH will provide complimentary shuttle service between participating hotels and the West Building of the Orange County Convention Center. Shuttle buses will be available every 10 to 20 minutes during the following times:
Saturday, December 4
6:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 5
6:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Monday, December 6
6:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, December 7
6:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Public Transportation:
For those opting to make use of public transportation, Orlando offers the I-Ride Trolley and LYNX bus service. Operating daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., the I-Ride Trolley travels throughout the International Drive Resort area where the convention center is located. This includes stops at Sea World®, Islands of Adventure®, Universal Studios®, two golf clubs, and numerous shopping destinations and restaurants. Trolley fare is $1.25 per ride and 25 cents for riders over 65 and kids 12 and under. Only cash is accepted and exact fare is required. Unlimited ride passes are also available for one ($4), three ($6), and five days ($8). More information, including a route map and where passes are sold, can be found online at www.iridetrolley.com
LYNX bus service has 65 fixed routes covering Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties. Routes 8, 38, and 42 have stops at the convention center. Buses stop every 15 minutes Monday through Friday and every 30 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays. One-way fare is $2 and a single-day pass is $4.50. Note that the single-day pass can only be purchased from bus operators. Children six and under ride free when accompanied by an adult passenger. Exact change is required as drivers can’t make change. Taxis:
For those who wish to take a cab, there are three on-site hailing locations at the convention center. They are located adjacent to Halls WA and WB and Halls WE and WF in the West Building and Halls SA and SB in the North/South Building. Approximate cab fares from the Orange County Convention Center are $32 to the airport, $29 to downtown Orlando, $34 to Disney World®, $15 to Universal Studios®, and $8 to Sand Lake Road/“Restaurant Row.”
Car Rental:
If you plan to rent a car, Hertz is offering ASH meeting attendees special rental car rates, which include unlimited mileage. Reservations can be made online at www.hertz.com, over the phone at 800-654-2240, or at any Orlando location. Be sure to mention CV number 02S70010 when booking your rental.
Parking at the Orange County Convention Center:
For those with a car, the convention center has three parking options. All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. The West Building’s West Concourse parking lot can be accessed via the north, south, or west entrance. The North/South’s North/South Concourse parking lot can be accessed from either the north or south entrance. The Destination Parkway parking garage is located two blocks west on International Drive and is only operational depending on event activity. Guests that park in the garage will be taken via shuttle to the West Building. Look for event-specific parking areas to be listed on overhead electronic signage on International Drive and the surrounding area. Parking costs $11 per car, per entry and $8 per car, per entry after 5:00 p.m. in all areas. The convention center accepts cash, travelers’ checks, American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.
