The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a list of registries that are qualified to submit Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) data on behalf of physicians. This is significant because CMS has announced a new half-year reporting period between July 1 and December 31, 2009, to allow more physicians to participate in PQRI. Hematologists must submit measures through a qualified registry in order to take advantage of this opportunity.

The full 2009 list, along with what measures these registries will report, is available on the CMS Web site; below is a list of registries that report some or all of the four hematology measures that are currently part of the PQRI program:
