American Society of Hematology (ASH)
The ASH HONORS (Hematology Opportunities for the Next Generation of Research Scientists) Award contributes to the development of the next
generation of hematologists by providing research funding for talented
first-, second-, and third-year medical students and first- and
second-year medical residents and by encouraging them to continue
research careers in hematology beyond medical school and residency.
Applicants may choose to apply for one of the following project options:
- Summer project: to be conducted over a maximum of three months
- Flexible project: to be conducted over a span of three to 12 months
participants receive a $5,000 stipend to support their work on a
hematology-related research project, as well as a $1,000 travel
allowance each year for two years to support attendance at the ASH
annual meeting, starting with the year the award is received.
