National Partner Society Abstract Achievement Awards

The following Abstract Achievement Awards are offered by ASH in partnership with other medical societies. The recipients of these awards are announced each year in October. Each awardee receives a $2,000 grant and complimentary registration to the current year’s ASH annual meeting.

ASH-HSANZ Abstract Achievement Award

Provided in partnership with the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ)

ASH-JSH Abstract Achievement Award

Provided in partnership with the Japanese Society of Hematology (JSH)

ASH-SIE Abstract Achievement Award

Provided in partnership with the Society Italiana di Ematologia (SIE)

How to Apply

To be considered, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria for the desired award and fall within one of the following trainee categories: undergraduate student, medical student, graduate student, resident physician, or postdoctoral fellow (MD or PhD).

Individuals who meet the eligibility criteria will be automatically considered as long as the appropriate box is checked in the area marked “Abstract Achievement/Outstanding Abstract Achievement Award Applicants” during the online abstract submission process.

Applicants must also select their trainee level and include, with their abstract submission, a letter from their Training Program Director confirming status as a trainee.

ASH-HSANZ Abstract Achievement Award

This annual award, in partnership with the Hematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ), is granted to up to two trainees who are the first or senior author and presenter of the most meritorious country-specific project.

To be eligible for this award, you must be a member of HSANZ and reside in Australia or New Zealand.

ASH-JSH Abstract Achievement Award

This annual award, in partnership with the Japanese Society of Hematology (JSH), is granted to up to three trainees who are the first or senior author and presenter of the most meritorious country-specific project.

To be eligible for this award, you must be a member of JSH and reside in Japan.

ASH-SIE Abstract Achievement Award

This annual award, in partnership with the Society Italiana di Ematologia (SIE), is granted to up to two trainees who are the first or senior author and presenter of the most meritorious country-specific project.

To be eligible for this award, you must be a member of SIE and reside in Italy.
