Individual   Group   Exhibitor

To begin the online registration process for the 59th ASH Annual Meeting, please use your ASH username (your email address, unless you have changed it) and password. If someone else is registering for the meeting on your behalf, please provide him/her with your log-in credentials to ensure your registration is processed quickly.

Don't have an ASH username or password? You can create an account when you begin the registration process. If you have forgotten either your username or password, you may reset them when you register.

Please note that you must register for the ASH annual meeting before you make your hotel reservation.

Dates and Deadlines

Late and On-Site Registration

Begins November 2

Attendees who register on or after November 2 will be charged the late/on-site registration fee. On-site registration will begin on Thursday, December 7, at 3:00 p.m. in Building A, Level 1, Hall A1 of the Georgia World Congress Center during the times listed below.

Registration Fee Information

You must be a member at the time of registration to receive the member rate. Applicants approved for membership after registering for the meeting will not be refunded the difference between the member and non-member rates. View important membership application deadlines.

The following are included with registration. Please note that spouse/guest registrants are eligible only for the events marked with an asterisk.

Access to the ASH annual meeting webcasts is not included with registration. Webcasts may be pre-ordered at a discounted rate during the annual meeting registration process or on site.

Registration fees may be paid by credit card or by check only. Wire transfers will not be accepted.

*To register as a non-member in training, you must register and submit your verification by November 1. Meeting Cancellation Policy

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) reserves the right to modify or cancel any or all activities associated with this meeting due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event that ASH must unexpectedly cancel this meeting, the full registration fee, less a processing charge, will be returned to each registrant.back to top

Registration Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations must be submitted by November 21, 2017, to the ASH Registration Center in order to receive a refund, less a $75 processing fee. All requests must be submitted in writing and must include a brief description of the reason for cancelling.

If payment was made by credit card, the refund will appear as a credit on the account within four weeks. If payment was made by check, the refund will be sent by check within 60 days after the conclusion of the meeting.

Registration Badges

Badges will be mailed to all advance registrants beginning in mid-November. If you do not receive your badge prior to the meeting, please pick up your badge and meeting materials on site.

The registration area will be located at the Georgia World Congress Center in Building A, Level 1, Hall A1.

Group Registration

Group registration opens on August 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time. Visit the group registration site to learn more and get started.

The benefits of registering as a group include:

Membership Application Deadlines

You must be a member in order to register at the member rate. Below are the cutoff dates by which you must apply in order to be approved as a member prior to the meeting. Applicants approved for membership after registering for the meeting will not be refunded the difference between the member and non-member rates.

Active and International Member

Applications for Active and International membership are considered by the ASH Executive Committee twice per year; applications received between now and the annual meeting will not be processed in time for applicants to register as ASH members for the 2017 annual meeting. Please consider applying by March 1, 2018, to become a member in time for the 2018 ASH Annual Meeting. Please see the active or international membership page for more information.

Associate and International Associate Member

Associate and international associate membership applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and must be received by November 1, 2017, to be eligible for reduced member meeting registration rates. Applicants who are accepted will be billed for their 2017 membership dues immediately upon approval. Dues must be paid in full in order to qualify for the Associate member meeting registration rate. Medical Student, Graduate Student, and Resident Member

ASH now offers membership categories for medical students, graduate students, and residents (trainees who have not yet entered hematology training) residing in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Applications for these membership categories are reviewed on a rolling basis and must be received by November 1, 2017, to be eligible for reduced member meeting registration rates. Applicants who are accepted will be notified and will be immediately eligible to register for the annual meeting as members since they do not pay membership dues. Membership applications may be submitted on site at the ASH Resources Center during the annual meeting. Resulting memberships will begin in 2017.

Special Registration Instructions

Non-Member in Training

To register as a non-member in training and receive the advance registration rate, you must register and submit your verification by November 1. Non-member-in-training registrations will not be accepted after November 1. Any non-member in training who registers after this deadline will be registered as a non-member and charged the non-member rate.

The following individuals are eligible to register as non-members in training:

  • Undergraduate students
  • Graduate and medical students
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of your university/institution
    • Name and contact information for your school counselor
    • Field of study
    • Program start date and expected date of graduation (month and year)
  • Medical residents
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of the program in which you are enrolled
    • Program director's name and contact information
    • Length of the program (in years)
    • Program start date and expected completion date (month and year)
    After you complete the registration process, an email will automatically be sent to your program director or school counselor requesting a signed verification letter on official letterhead confirming that you are a trainee. Verification should be emailed, in PDF format, to ashverification@spargoinc.com. You will not be officially registered for the meeting until ASH confirms your training status.
    If you registered in the non-member-in-training category last year and are still enrolled in the same training program, you do not need to send a letter verifying your enrollment status.
  • Post-doctoral fellows with an MD or PhD in a recognized hematology or oncology training program
    During the online registration process, you will need to provide:
    • Name of the program in which you are enrolled
    • Program director's name and contact information
    • Length of the program (in years)
    • Program start date (month and year)
    • Expected program completion date (month and year)

Allied Health Professional

The following individuals are eligible to register as allied health professionals: nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, pharmacists, research technicians, and technologists.

To register in this category, you will need to provide evidence of your status as an allied health professional. Verification must be submitted prior to the meeting to receive meeting materials in advance. You will not be officially registered for the meeting until ASH confirms your status.

Verification entails providing a letter from the registrant's immediate supervisor on institutional letterhead confirming the name of the organization and the registrant's position there, a copy of a state license, proof of membership in another affiliated association, or a copy of an institutional identification card. Registrants who do not provide verification will be charged the ASH non-member registration rate.

Spouse/Guest

Spouses and guests are welcome to register for the ASH annual meeting. Spouses and guests will receive a badge that allows access to the exhibit hall, including daily coffee breaks and boxed lunches on Sunday and Monday; the Saturday evening welcome reception; and Sunday and Monday poster hall receptions.

Spouse/guest registration does not include entrance to the Education and Scientific Program sessions or poster viewing sessions, and it does not include meeting materials.

Registration Benefits for ASH Foundation Donors

The following annual meeting registration benefits are offered in appreciation of donor generosity. Please note that donation processing takes approximately two to three weeks. Individual gift recognition and associated benefits are provided once donation processing is completed.

  • ASH members with cumulative giving of $1,000 or higher for the current calendar year to date qualify to register during the VIP registration period (earlier than ASH members) and get first access to annual meeting hotels.
  • Non-members with cumulative giving of $10,000 or higher for the current calendar year to date qualify to register during the VIP registration period (earlier than ASH members) and get first access to annual meeting hotels.
  • Non-members with cumulative giving of $1,000 to $9,999 for the current calendar year to date qualify to register during ASH member-only registration and have early access to annual meeting hotels during the member-only registration period.
