Interact With ASH
Stop by the ASH Booth (#1933) in the Exhibit Hall to learn about the Society’s resources and opportunities for hematologists at all career levels. ASH staff will be available to answer questions about ASH meetings, resources, and initiatives and to assist with membership applications and renewals. Various ASH products will also be for sale at the booth, with deep product discounts available exclusively at the annual meeting.

ASH Assist (New!)
With ASH Assist, help is just one text message away! During the ASH annual meeting only, send a text message to “69050” to ask a question or report an issue or concern, and you will receive a prompt response. This service is available from anywhere inside the Georgia World Congress Center or Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center.

ASH Whiteboard Wall
As a hematologist, how do you build resilience and face factors that might contribute to professional burnout? Visit the ASH Whiteboard Wall in ASH Central (Building B, Level 1, Hall B1) to share your story with us, and have a graphic artist illustrate your words in real time. ASH is interested in discovering ways that resilience is being addressed – both by hematology professionals and early-career trainees – and to learn how we can help bring more awareness and develop education around this topic in the future.back to top
Network and Unwind
Small conference rooms for 10-20 people will be available for attendees to collaborate in a more private space to facilitate networking and collaboration. Rooms will be pre-set with a conference table and chairs, a flat screen monitor, and cables to connect laptops. Each attendee will be limited to one 45-minute reservation per day.

Reservations may also be made on site in ASH Central or through the annual meeting mobile app. Please note space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Back-to-back reservations are prohibited, and no catering or additional audio visual equipment is permitted.
Collaboration rooms are intended for non-commercial attendees (physicians, researchers, etc.) to meet with each other. They are not designed nor available for industry representatives to conduct meetings of a commercial nature. Industry is welcome to request ancillary event space or exhibitor meeting rooms.
Multiple seating areas with tables and chairs will be placed in the lobby areas of the convention center to enable attendees to meet one another for informal, impromptu conversations and small meetings. Look for "Hematology MeetUp" areas designated on the convention center map to find the nearest location.
ASH Foundation Donor Lounge
Gifts of all amounts to the ASH Foundation are always helpful and appreciated. With cumulative annual giving of $250 or more, you can access the ASH Foundation Donor Lounge during the annual meeting. In addition, individuals with cumulative annual giving of $2,500 or more will receive an invitation to the President’s Reception in recognition of their support at that level. Finally, qualified donors are eligible for a selection of time-sensitive benefits associated with the registration process for the ASH annual meeting. The Donor Lounge will be located in Building A, Level 4 on the International Boulevard Concourse.
Trainees are invited to visit the Trainee Lounge located in ASH Central (Building B, Level 1, Hall B1) to meet with colleagues and recharge with complimentary refreshments. Only those with a blue trainee badge will be permitted.

ASH News TV
ASH News TV is a daily newscast in video format featuring previews and highlights from each day of the 59th ASH Annual Meeting. ASH News TV can be viewed in select hotels’ guest rooms, on the shuttle buses, in various locations at the Georgia World Congress Center, and on the ASH website. Broadcasts will be available Saturday through Tuesday.

ASH News Daily is the annual meeting’s official on-site newspaper. It is delivered daily to select hotels, available on the shuttle buses, and distributed throughout the convention center.

ASH Alexa (New!)
This year, ASH is offering a new way to get instant answers to your annual meeting questions. Simply visit one of the 12 ASH Alexa stations located throughout the Georgia World Congress Center, and speak your question to Alexa using the provided Amazon Echo speakers. Be sure to start by saying “Alexa ask ASH meeting” followed by your question.
Here are some example questions you can ask Alexa:

- Alexa, ask ASH meeting: where is the Global Capacity-Building Showcase located?
- Alexa, ask ASH meeting: does ASH offer child care?
While you are in the Poster Hall, use the free PosterCast app to listen to three-minute audio presentations recorded by the authors themselves – each one providing an overview of the author’s poster. Simply download the app by searching for “PosterCast” in the App Store or Google Play, then scan the QR code on a participating poster or use the keypad to enter the poster number. You will then be able to hear the author narrate his or her work while you view the poster.
Second Screen Technology
Back by popular demand, second screen technology provides the ability to view session slides in real time from most personal devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers. Attendees in select sessions will be given a unique URL, which will grant access to view the slides for that session only. Second screen technology allows for better viewing of images that can be difficult to see from the back of the session room.back to top
Coat and Baggage Check
ASH annual meeting attendees may check coats and bags for $3 per item at one of the following coat check locations at the Georgia World Congress Center:
- Building A, Level 4, International Boulevard Concourse
- Building C, Level 1, Lobby
ASH is pleased to offer internet access to all attendees in public lobbies and meeting rooms at the Georgia World Congress Center, as well as in the session rooms and adjacent pre-function space at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center. This complimentary service is provided to support annual meeting activities requiring internet access, web browsing, and email connectivity.
New this year, ASH will also offer a 2.4 GHz zone for annual meeting attendees with older phones that are unable to connect to the convention center Wi-Fi. The 2.4 GHz zone will be located in Building A, Level 3, in the hallway adjacent to session room A303.
Services for Persons With Disabilities
ASH is committed to offering an accessible meeting environment for persons with disabilities. During the annual meeting registration process, please indicate any assistance you may require, and ASH staff will contact you to discuss your specific needs.
For persons requiring mobility assistance, ASH has partnered with Scootaround Mobility Solutions for rental of mobility scooters. Please reserve at least two weeks in advance by calling 888-441-7575 in order for Scootaround Mobility Solutions to provide seamless access.
ASH has partnered with Kushner & Associates for wheelchair-accessible ASH shuttles from hotels on the shuttle route. Please see the ASH shuttle supervisor at the Georgia World Congress Center during shuttle hours or make advance arrangements by phone. If you would like to make arrangements in advance for a wheelchair accessible ASH shuttle, please contact Janet Biddle at 703-679-3950 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Convention center staff will be available at information desks through the Georgia World Congress Center to provide assistance with brochures and maps, lost and found, wheelchair service, and information about the location of key ASH meeting areas.
Tourism and Concierge Desk
The Tourism and Concierge Desk offers complimentary restaurant reservation services and features brochures on attractions in the Atlanta metro area. It is located in Building A, Level 4, International Boulevard Concourse at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Georgia World Congress Center Business Center
The Georgia World Congress Center Business Center is located in Building A, Level 4, International Boulevard Concourse. The business center is run by FedEx Office and provides full-service business needs, including photocopying, faxing, and printing services, as well as the ability to print posters. Office supplies are also available for purchase.
Automated teller machines (ATMs) are available in the following locations at the Georgia World Congress Center:

- Building B, Level 2
- Building C, Levels 1 and 2

Resources for Parents
For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the exhibit hall or poster halls. Additionally, ASH prohibits children and infants in sessions, as they may distract the speakers and other attendees.
ASH has made arrangements with KiddieCorp to provide subsidized child-care services at the meeting beginning on Friday, December 8, through Tuesday, December 12. KiddieCorp staff members are bonded and trained child-care specialists. The cost to parents will be $5 per hour, per child, with a two-hour minimum required per child, per day. Snacks, light meals, and beverages will be provided each day.

Dedicated lounges will be available for nursing mothers in safe, accessible areas throughout the convention center. Each nursing mother’s lounge will provide a private, comfortable area equipped with lockable doors, furniture, and power outlets to use for pumping sessions during the ASH annual meeting.
A refrigerator will be available in the child care room for safe storage.
