ASH Urges Congress to Provide 7 Percent Increase in FY 2010 NIH Funding
In addition to congressional visits made by members of the ASH Government Affairs Committee in March, the Society recently sent letters to all members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives advocating for at least a 7 percent increase in funding for NIH in fiscal year (FY) 2010. ASH Launches Patient Advocacy Campaign to Increase Federal Funding for Biomedical Research
ASH is working with several hematology-related patient advocacy groups to help advocate for increased NIH funding by encouraging consumers to watch a short video that illuminates the life-saving potential of biomedical research and use the ASH Advocacy Center to contact Congress and voice support.  Help spread the word by sharing this message with your patients and encouraging them to take action today!

ASH is sponsoring a webinar on Tuesday, April 28, from 5:00 - 6:15 p.m. EST that will cover the basics of how to report the 2009 hematology-related Physician Quality Reporting Initiative measures and the e-prescribing measure through claims-based reporting. The goal of the webinar is to help ensure that hematologists report appropriately and receive the incentive bonus.  The webinar will be useful for practitioners and office staff.
